You’re so fabulous. You’re pretty, and you’re funny and you can sing, and act, and you’re NORMAL SIZED! You aren’t a twig, and I love you for that.

I like this show. A lot. I’ve been watching it since the beginning, but after the last episode, I felt the need to rant a little bit.

I taped it on the DVR, and watched it the morning, and, rather surprisingly, felt feelings of hatred. For the last few episodes, my feelings of dislike toward Karen have just been getting stronger. SHE IS A SUE! A SUE I TELL YOU.

I was so happy when she wasn’t cast as Marilyn, and because Megan Hilty is fabulous, I was excited to see her be Marilyn for the remainder of the series. But then Derek was like, “OH, KAREN, SING HAPPY BIRTHDAY AS MARILYN.” Because APPARENTLY, Ivy suddenly can’t do that? Even when she was mimicking Marilyn PERFECTLY for the last NOW MANY episodes? Yeah. No. IT ISN’T LIKELY.

AND THEN SHE GOT ALL WHINY. And was complaining that she wasn’t sexy and stuff. It’s like, bullshit, you’re prettier than so many women, and a lot of people probably hate the writers for saying that because they’re insecure! Sheesh! AND THEN. SHE WAS ACTING LIKE THE BIGGEST WHORE AT DINNER WITH DEV. AND I WANTED TO KICK HER. GAH.

And if they give Marilyn to Karen, I will lose my shit, because Ivy is so much better. Her character is so much more complex, and I feel really bad that she’s being lead on by Derek. At least, I think he’s leading her on. Sometimes I feel like he actually does like her.

AND THEN TOM AND NEAL. OH MY GOD. I THINK THEY ARE ADORABLE, AND EVEN IF THE SEX WAS HORRIBLE, THEY SHOULD STAY TOGETHER FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER. Then the thing with Tom playing the piano while he was talking to Leo was just awesome. I have a lot of positive feelings about Tom. He’s probably my favourite character.

Also, at the end, with Julia and Michael. What the fuck was that? Scumbags. Cheating on their spouses. And Micheal has that really cute little boy! I couldn’t even believe it. It made me angry.

I downloaded the free preview of Smash on iTunes today. Holy cow, it looks fantastic. I know what I’m going to be watching this February. xD
