Cause of Death - Volume 8, Ch. 8.

I needed to say something about this.

When the episode started off at Ken’s funeral, I’m like,

WHY DID THEY HAVE TO KILL KEN? WHY? He was just so bloody awesome. And now he’s dead. And that sucks. I was counting on Blaise dying. Like, why else would you make a new character that everyone hates?

So then, Mal speaks. And I am sad some more. And then there was a wee bit of Maltara, and as sick as it is, it made the sad of Ken’s funeral go away for a sec.

THEN, Mal goes home. And I assumed after that I would be Natara, but I’m still Mal. So I’m like, “This is suspicious.”

UNTIL THEN.

Genevieve.

We don’t see her forever, and then BOOM. She picks the lock of Mal’s apartment. Or something. Or scaled the wall. I don’t know. Maybe she’s a wizard. But she was in there.

So Mal goes and makes a deal with her. And I’m not impressed. Not a little bit. YOU DON’T NEED TO BE LIKE YOUR DAD MAL. YOU DON’T NEED TO BE AN ASSHOLE.

But he does. And calls Natara and (blech) Blaise. Who doesn’t need to keep hanging around. Go be partners with Joe or something. Or whoever Ken was with. Go eat ice cream with Amy. Go do anything but hang around Mal.

But alas. She stays. And I’ll admit, is a little bit of a badass with her gun while fighting the cultists. Until she falls off the edge. On one hand, I wanted to let her fall, because I mean, it’s Blaise. But on the other, Nat isn’t a sociopath. Plus I wouldn’t get a Detective score if she died. So I saved her.

It was annoying though. But then Nat saved Mal. So that was good. And when Blaise told them to stop flirting, I was like,

But she was still alive. So you know. I wasn’t THAT happy about it. So then they went into that lab thing, and stuff happened, and Nat was all smart like a boss. BUT THEN. BUT THEN, THEY GOT SEPARATED, AND THE KRAKEN CAME. AND I’M LIKE,

UNTIL HE TAKES OFF HIS MASK.

THEN I’M LIKE.

In that order.

BUT OMFG, IT WAS SHAWN? SHAWN MALLORY? SERIOUSLY? SERIOUSLY? WHY. WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS? HOW IS HE NOT DEAD?

…but on the other hand, maybe we could set him up with Blaise.
